Step by Step
The Consultation
First things first! It’s best to start the Family Photo Session experience with an in depth consultation. This way, we ensure we are both on the same page about what YOU are looking to get out of your session. This is done by phone or in-person. In person is offered for in-studio & outdoor sessions so you can tour the photo studio and the wardrobe.
The Wardrobe
We have a gorgeously curated studio wardrobe available for our clients to shop from for their sessions. Offering a wide variety of styles and sizes, you really won’t need to go shopping unless you want to! I highly encourage you to visit the wardrobe and see if there is something you love!
Hair & Make-up
Professional Hair & Make-up is available for your family photo session. HSP only works with the best of the best. As both professional photographers and hair and make-up artists, it is our job to make sure you look your best for the camera!
The Photoshoot
It’s showtime! This is where we bring it all together. It is my job to make you feel comfortable, confident and gorgeous in front of the camera! While I do love to capture candid moments, I still give a LOT of instruction to my clients during your family photo session. If we are shooting outdoors, we will discuss in detail what style of outdoor family photo session setting you’re looking for! The Reveal & Ordering Session
It’s time to see what we worked so hard for. You will receive an Online Proofing Gallery where you will view your images for the very first time. This selection process will include a gallery of UNEDITED images with only 1-2 images Fully edited displaying a sample of what the Final Product will look like. The Final Collection you choose will Depend on how many images you choose for your final collection. All Collections are Digital Collections with the option to purchase prints/art only if you choose.
Product Delivery & Installation
If you did choose to order Print Products, they will be delivered to your home once I receive them. If you ordered wall art, my team will help install the wall art for you if you prefer! All print products will be delivered at this time.
Outdoor Family Photoshoots typically start 1-2 hours before sunset depending on location and time of year. There is NOTHING that beats the sunset Golden hour light, so if you need to adjust nap time and bedtimes for that day, you will not regret it!
If staying up late in the summer hours is not for you, consider a sunrise session or an in-studio session. Shooting mid-day outdoors is typically not desirable unless in an urban setting where more shaded or filtered lighting can be found.
