The Consultation
First things first! It’s best to start the Newborn Photo Session journey with an in depth consultation. This way, we ensure we are both on the same page about what YOU are looking to get out of your newborn photo session. This is done by phone, but in-person is offered if you want to tour the photo studio, view the wardrobe, backdrops and props.
The Studio Wardrobe, Props and Accessories
We have a gorgeously curated studio wardrobe available for our clients to shop from for their sessions. Our Minneapolis Photo Studio offers a wide variety of styles and sizes for Mom, Siblings and of course Newborn baby. You really won’t need to bring a thing unless you want to! We have endless options for Newborn Props, Accessories and backdrops to ensure you get exactly what you want out of your Newborn Photo Session.
Hair & Make-up
Professional Hair & Make-up is available for new mothers to help take the stress out of getting ready for your newborn photo session! HSP only hires the best of the best. As both professional photographers and hair and make-up artists, it is our job to make sure you look your best for the camera!
The Photoshoot
It’s showtime! This is where we bring it all together. Of course your Newborn baby runs the show! We will break for feedings as often as needed. I like to start with Sibling and Family Photos leaving the remaining time to focus on solo photos of your Newborn.
The Reveal &
Selection Process
It’s time to see what we worked so hard for. You will receive an Online Proofing Gallery where you will view your images for the very first time. This selection process will include a gallery of UNEDITED images with only 1-2 images Fully edited displaying a sample of what the Final Product will look like. The Final Collection you choose will Depend on how many images you choose for your final collection. All Collections are Digital Collections with the option to purchase prints/art only if you choose.
Product Delivery & Installation
If you did choose to order Print Products, they will be delivered to your home once I receive them. If you ordered wall art, my team will help install the wall art for you if you prefer! All print products will be delivered at this time.
The Safety of your Newborn baby is the number one priority at Heidi Sakallah Photography. These tiny little humans are extremely precious and there are many safety measures that should be in place when handling them.
- Hands will be on baby at all times, supporting them properly. Poses that require spotting by an assistant will be composited digitally while processing and editing your images. All prop poses will be assisted with a spotter.
- Room Temperature and heaters will constantly be monitored to ensure your Newborn is comfortable.
- A sanitary environment will be kept at all times. Access to hand sanitizer is available throughout the studio. All fabric backdrops are cleaned between sessions.
- Parents are welcome to relax in my comfortable seating area or pull up a seat near me to watch me work. You will have complete access to your Newborn at all times.
