Step by Step
The Consultation
As a professional Photographer, Fresh 48 photos have stolen my heart! It’s best to book these sessions in advance for obvious reasons starting with a Phone Consultation! This way, we will ensure that we are on the same page about what YOU are looking to get out of your fresh 48 newborn photo session. Obviously these sessions take place in the Hospital within 48 hours (sometimes 24 hours) of birth.
The Studio Wardrobe, Props and Accessories
We have a gorgeously curated “Fresh 48” wardrobe available for our clients to shop from for their sessions. You really won’t need to bring a thing unless you want to! I do keep things very organic and natural for these sessions so a nice robe for Mom and some simple accessories for baby is all we need. I will bring different textures and fabrics to add to the session, but I mostly love using what’s around us to help tell the story of their very recent birth.
Hair & Make-up
Professional Hair & Make-up is available for new mothers to help take the stress out of getting ready for your Fresh 48 newborn photo session! HSP only works with the best of the best. As both professional photographers and hair and make-up artists, it is our job to make sure you look your best for the camera! Of course, they would come to you. HOWEVER.. I do prefer a more natural look for these sessions. After all you just had a baby! A little blush and a brush through your hair can work wonders. This is one of those moments where less is more!
The Photoshoot
It’s showtime! This is where we bring it all together. As you know, its important that you call or text me the day you deliver. Sometimes it makes more sense to put this on your husbands “to-do” list! Of course your Newborn baby runs the show! We will break for feedings as often as needed. I like to start with just photos of baby then add Sibling and Family Photos. You will get a pdf guide to help you prepare for this once you book! But rest assured, you do not have to do much at all!
The Reveal &
Selection Process
It’s time to see what we worked so hard for. You will receive an Online Proofing Gallery where you will view your images for the very first time. This selection process will include a gallery of UNEDITED images with only 1-2 images Fully edited displaying a sample of what the Final Product will look like. The Final Collection you choose will Depend on how many images you choose for your final collection. All Collections are Digital Collections with the option to purchase prints/art only if you choose.
Product Delivery & Installation
If you did choose to order Print Products, they will be delivered to your home once I receive them. If you ordered wall art, my team will help install the wall art for you if you prefer! All print products will be delivered at this time.
The Safety of your Newborn baby is the number one priority at Heidi Sakallah Photography. These tiny little humans are extremely precious and there are many safety measures that should be in place when handling them.
- I will be wearing a mask out of precaution as well as wash and sanitize my hands before entering and while in the room.
- I am and will remain up-to-date on all of my vaccinations, including influenza, Covid-19, and DTaP and Tdap.
